Twin brothers Simon and Nikolai Haas, known as THE HAAS BROTHERS, run their furniture design and fabrication studio out of Los Angeles. They create everything, from set design to furniture, from installation to one-of-a-kind wearable art (let’s mention the masks for Lady Gaga, or the gold-leafed furniture for Louis Vuitton stores).
Nikolai apprenticed as a master carver and Simon studied blacksmithing at the Rhode Island School of Design. Their pieces show originality, irony and evident traces of artisanal handiwork.
They combine futuristic finishes with biomorphic forms, with a unique use of various materials such as brass, bronze, porcelain and fur or highly technical resins and polyurethane.
