From 17 to 21 September 2025, the Hungry Eye Fair returns to Amsterdam Noord. Formerly known as Haute Photographie, this boutique art fair offers a refined and inspiring experience for photography lovers.
This year, the spotlight is more than ever on emerging talents, with a strong focus on young, debuting photographers without gallery representation, many of whom will be exhibiting their work for the very first time.
Curated by Roy Kahmann and his team, Hungry Eye Fair goes beyond the conventional art fair format. Instead of traditional gallery booths, visitors are immersed in a museum-quality exhibition that highlights a carefully selected group of independent photographers from the Netherlands and abroad. The goal: to offer a platform where collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts can discover the next generation of image-makers.
With a strong emphasis on visual quality, storytelling and presentation, Hungry Eye Fair delivers an immersive experience in an intimate, thoughtfully designed environment.
The BookMarket section brings together a vibrant mix of independent publishers working at the intersection of art, architecture, design and visual culture. The fair showcases experimental and socially engaged publications, offering visitors the chance to discover unique books and rare editions.
Hungry Eye Fair will take place at DOOR Open, a new creative venue located in the NDSM district of Amsterdam Noord. In addition to the main exhibition and BookMarket, the programme includes portfolio reviews, artist talks, and daily signings.
