From 15 to 19 October 2025, London again becomes the fulcrum of contemporary and historical art with Frieze London 2025 and Frieze Masters anchoring a week of exhibitions, dialogues, and discovery. Under the banner “The Capital as a Global Art Stage”, this edition brings together over 280 galleries from 45 countries.
At Frieze London, visitors can expect ambitious solo projects – from Lauren Halsey and Do Ho Suh to Ebun Sodipo and Antonio Pichillá Quiacaín – alongside dynamic, curator-led sections such as “Artist-to-Artist” and “Echoes in the Present”. Meanwhile Frieze Masters revisits the past with rediscoveries ranging from a Rubens panel to Ptolemaic reliefs, while also reappraising 20th-century artists in its “Spotlight” and “Studio” sections. Alongside the tents and booths, Frieze Sculpture returns to Regent’s Park in the English Gardens, running from 17 September to 2 November, offering a public, open-air counterpoint to the commercial energies of the fairs.
Satellites & Side Events
No Frieze Week is complete without the constellation of complementary fairs and projects that spread into London’s gallery quarters, hotels, and institutional spaces. Here are a few key ones for 2025:
- 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair
Taking place at Somerset House from 16 to 19 October, 1-54 continues its mission as the international fair devoted to contemporary African and diasporic art. Its timing aligns with the Frieze schedule, offering collectors and visitors a focused encounter with voices from Africa and its diasporas.

- Minor Attractions
Returning to The Mandrake Hotel (Fitzrovia) from 14 to 18 October, Minor Attractions embraces a more fluid, experiential fair model. It fuses galleries with performance, sound, film and nightlife programming, and presents works across hotel rooms, bars, lobbies and corridors, rather than in the typical white-cube booth format. The fair emphasizes accessibility (free entry) and positions itself as an “alternative” space within the London art week.

- PAD London
From 14 to 19 October, PAD London brings historical and contemporary design into the week, held in Berkeley Square in Mayfair. As the UK’s only fair focused exclusively on design, it offers a complementary angle—bridging the art and design worlds.

- Echo Soho
Echo Soho is a female-led art fair slated to run during London’s art week, amplifying women artists and feminist curatorial perspectives.
