The PhotoPhore is very pleased to present one of the WINNERS of the photography contest LIVING THE NATURE, the first event part of the project FOCUS PHOTO WEEKS: Sigita Lapina, with her photo “Path searching“, selected by The PhotoPhore.

Sigita Lapina is a Latvian photographer based in Riga, Latvia. From 1998 she has been a full-time photographer. In 2007 she realized her first solo exhibition: “Mexico: colorful, unfamiliar, different“.

Sigita Lapina’s works were showed also in the solo exhibitions “Way to harmony“, in 2011, and “Invisible in the visible“, in 2016. Her main photographic themes are nature, urban environment, people, but she works on abstract photo too.

According to her words: “My work is primarily the result of my need to take photos; it is both a challenge and an outlet; a discipline and a passion. The ultimate goal is to seek truth, and be unafraid to share what I find“.
