Ramon Todo

Japanese artist Ramon Todo creates beautiful sculptures embedding books, stones, volcanic rock and fragments of the Berlin wall, with polished glasses.

The glass additions are combined perfectly with the shape of the objects he uses, and the play of lights they generate, creating an unexpected elegant effect. A sort of ready-made of light.

Born in Tokyo, with a MFA in Sculpture at Tama Art University and at the Academy of Fine Arts Dusseldorf, Todo lives and works in Dusseldorf.

He has been exhibited internationally: Art Front Gallery, Tokyo; Eurohypo, Eschborn; Kunsthaus, Mettmann; VILLA de Bank, Netherlands; Kanagawa Prefecture Civic Hall Gallery, Kanagawa; Kunstraum, Dusseldorf, etc.
