Brigitte Yoshiko Pruchnow is a painter located in Munich, Germany, making paintings mostly with acrylic on canvas.

She also likes to make drawings to experiment with different papers and techniques including, ink, pencil, pens, crayon, collage, etc., which transmit her Japanese heritage.

In her work Brigitte deals mostly with matters of perceiving and seeing things. She hopes to sharpen the senses of the viewer by looking at her work, particularly through the play of light and shadow.

She is interested in objects that are moving or reflect a great deal of the light, so that there is a lot of contrast, like water, metal, glass, etc.

Trying to capture an everyday very fugitive moment throughout the slow process of painting, Brigitte wants to raise awareness for that moment.
